Rain was rescued from Apple Valley Shelter -no one knew she was pregnant with the 6 pups below. BC Rescue
Mac was also a VVAPL rescue. He is the one with the pointed ears. The other 2 are also shelter rescues. All are w/ Create a Smile Therapy Working Dogs.
Bailey- Golden mix age 3. Turned in to shelter by owner - he was too big! Now Bailey has a nice home in Apple Valley!

Bogey- yellow Lab. He was taken just in time from VVAPL and has a new home thanks to the help of All Retrievers.
Merlin- really lucked out! He has a wonderful family with kids and all!
Harlow was rescued at the same time as Merlin. A couple came all the way from up north to this cute Heinz 57.

Cher lives in San Diego w/ Sonny. She was turned into the shelter at 8 years old because supposedly she would not use her litter box (that was not the case at all)
Sonny, was brought in to VVAPL as a stray. We think he has a nasal pollup from chronic URI's. He is in San Diego with Cher.
This blue eyed Aussie x was bailed by us from the local impound and off to Megan at Aussie rescue- she found her a great home!
Scruffy had a major skin problem. We bailed him from the shelter and he went to All Breed Rescue in Yucaipa.
Crystal is a great companion for a family with children
Hercules bailed and off to Border Collie Rescue. Adopted and happy.
What a doll. This sweety went to Cocker rescue. We were happy to help her out!
Kelpie was rescued pregnant and off to Border Collie rescue to have her babies.

"Rusty" Once behind bars but not anymore. We directed a lady wanting a Cocker to the shelter so she could adopt him.
Look at him now. After 3 hours of cutting off 3 lbs of mats and some treatment for his ears that were badly infected this guy cleaned up very nice! He was also inflamed form licking himself after neuter, hence the cone.
Daphne is a Golden mix we rescued. We pulled her even though we didn't have a foster home lined up and lucky for us she was adopted the next day! She was wearing an ID tag , unfortunately all it said was Daphne.
We sent this boy on the left to GRCGLA. We have helped dozens of Goldens get to Golden rescue. Networking and having great relationships with other rescues is a huge part of why we have been able to help so many!

Doodle is a Standard Poodle/Great Dane mix. He is huge. A nice lady named Janet fostered him for us. He was adopted and returned.
We turned to Tracy Ward with Gentle Giants Rescue. She took in the Doodle and eventually found him the perfect home (above).

Bruno was rescued from the local impound VVAPL. He is a gorgeous Chocolate Lab. Bruno is now Happy in Apple Valley with 3 little girls to play with.
Polar Bear Mel is Deaf! But this didn't stop us from finding him a good home!
This is Mel's new family. They previously had a Deaf Dalmatian so they will be great for Mel. Mel is the result of a breeder mixing 2 white merle Aussies. You can read about them at

Meet A5. A5 was then moved to the playpen area at the local impound shelter VVAPL It's an area where several dogs can be kept until adopted instead of being euthanized.
The bad news is this Dalmatian spent a FULL YEAR in the playpens and she was in danger once again. The good news is we were able to get Dalmatian Rescue to take her.
They are always full but they knew about this girl and how long she had been waiting for adoption. You can see her above with her new Dad, Thurston Bowden! She even has a new name, MAPLE!
Stanley, now Oliver, is living the high life and being spoiled in his new home. This little guy was dumped at the shelter with an injured leg.
Hmm. Looks like he feels all better now! Oliver was only 6-8 weeks old when he was impounded. The shelter called us right away. Another Happy Ending!

Here are Porche's pups a couple of weeks after rescue! A few years ago this family would have not had a chance. Knowing what is at the shelter, networking them and getting them out is saving a lot of lives! If you would like to help transport please let us know.
